Elder Glenn L. Pace Eulogized
This article contains a summary of the funeral proceedings for Elder Glenn L. Pace that were held earlier today. Representing the leading Brethren of the Church was Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, who had shared many assignments with him. It sounds like it was a beautiful service. Just wanted to report that.
I have had a lifelong love for Church history, which has extended to ongoing reports of the ministry of our apostles and prophets, General Conference, and all temple developments. This blog enables me to share that love with all who read my thoughts on these developments, which are sometimes reported multiple times per day as needed.
Report of the Paris France Cultural Celebration
Continuing what has been a big news day, the Church News just featured an article covering the Paris France youth cultural celebration. Click here to read that report. Sounds like a beautiful event. Stay tuned for more in the next 24 hours or so as reports come in about the dedication of this temple. The first dedicatory session will be held in about 6 hours (9 am in France is 1 am MST, an 8-hour difference). I pray the Lord's blessings on the wonderful French Saints who have waited so long for the dedication of their first temple, and also that the Lord will bless the Saints to put it to enough use that a second temple might be needed in France in the not-too-distant future. As with every other development, I am trying to keep abreast of it all. If I am missing anything at any time, please do let me know. Thanks to you all for your readership and support.

Church Loses Another Emeritus General Authority Seventy
The Church News reported last night the death of Elder Earl M. Monson (no relation to the prophet), who had served as a General Authority Seventy from 1998-2002. He died on Thursday at the age of 84. He served as a counselor in the Pacific Islands Area during his four years in the Seventy. His funeral will take place on Monday. Click here to read the Church News tribute article written in his memory, and here to read the one remarkable address he gave in General Conference. May God bless his memory and comfort his family at this time.
