Minor Construction Update on the Arequipa Peru Temple

Hello, everyone! While Church News has slowed substantially over the last several days, I wanted to share an update on the construction of the Arequipa Peru Temple. As I have not had a reason to update this temple's status in the last 12 days, I was elated to hear of the progress that has been reported. So what has changed? Let's talk about that.

The last posted temple progress report I shared on this blog noted that second level walls were poured and that the temple was being prepared for the addition of its roof slab. Now, less than 27 hours later, a vapor barrier is being attached, and preparations are underway for the pouring of the steeple base.

In this minor but significant reported development, we see very easily that the Lord is very much aware of the progress of holy houses that are being built to honor His name. And the work on each temple that is now or will shortly be under construction could not possibly be any more under His divine direction and support.

That does it for this brief blog post. Any comments are welcome and appreciated. Thank you for the privilege of your time. Until my next post, I wish each one of you all the best.

Temple News Update: Cedar City Open House Tours Full (Additional Reservations Coming Soon)/Tour Times Still Available for Meridian Idaho Open House

Hello, everyone! As the title of this blog post indicates, the Church has reported that all open house reservations that have currently been made available for the Cedar City Utah Temple have been filled up. But as mentioned in this article, the Church will be releasing additional reservations very soon.

By contrast, for any wanting to get into the open house for the Meridian Idaho Temple, there are still a number of reservations left. You can find more information on that here.

What an exciting time for the Church to have two temples within the "Mormon corridor" that are having open house reservations available. As mentioned in other posts, the Meridian Idaho Temple open house will start in less than two weeks and will run for the three weeks spanning the Saturdays of October 21 and November 11 (with the exception of Sundays). The cultural celebration will be held one week after the open house concludes, and the very next day (Sunday November 19), that temple will be dedicated.

In the meantime, as has also been previously noted, the open house for the Cedar City Utah Temple will run for the 22-day period spanning Friday October 27 and Saturday November 18. In view of the Thanksgiving holiday and the First Presidency's Christmas Devotional, the cultural celebration will take place 3 weeks after the conclusion of the open house, and the temple will be dedicated the next day (Sunday December 10).

Whatever might happen in regards to those temple dedications, you can depend on my reporting all about the latest developments here. That does it for this post. Any comments are welcome and appreciated. Thank you for the privilege of your time. Until my next post, I wish you all the best and pray the Lord will bless and keep you all.
