UPDATE: Third Quarter 2023 Temple Construction Progress Updates

Hello again, everyone! As the final moments of September (and thus the third quarter of 2023) wind down, it is time to take a look at where temple construction stands as of the end of this quarter. So, by way of review, let's look back at where things stood as 2023 began, on the Saturday of the April 2023 General Conference, at the end of the first half of 2023, and where things stand now.

The data largely speaks for itself. I also recognize that the last report will be outdated in about 16 hours, when, at the conclusion of the Sunday Afternoon Session of General Conference, President Nelson will likely announce new temples. The new temples will be added to both the third-quarter report and the main temple construction progress document. I am looking forward to that announcement.

In the meantime, that does it for now. All comments are, as always, welcome and appreciated on any post at any time, as long as the offered feedback is made per the established guidelines. I hope any of you who would like to share anything will take your opportunity to “sound off” in the comments below.

    Hello again, everyone! On this General Conference Sunday, the Church News has provided an update on 17 new stake presidents. The latest edition of "In Case You Missed It: Week in Review" has been published, highlighting the top 9 developments covered in the Church News this week. The Church News summarized the key teachings shared in yesterday's three sessions. And you can find the latest General Conference coverage in the updated repository article covering that.       Status updates have been noted for the Taylorsville Utah and Bacolod Philippines Temple. I am posting that update here because those are changes to the third-quarter report I shared above. Also, based on the announcement from President Nelson of the 20 new temples, I have added those to the appropriate sections of the third-quarter report as well. My thanks once again to you all.

In addition to my life-long love for the subjects which I cover in the posts of this blog, I have long held the belief that we can disagree without becoming disagreeable. Differences of opinion are natural, while being disagreeable in expressing those differences is not. And in that sense, I have no desire to close the door on anyone who earnestly desires to contribute to the ongoing dialogue on subjects covered in the posts on this blog.

I'd also like to remind all who comment here that I try to respond personally to each individual comment as I feel is appropriate. Such replies are not meant to end the conversation, but to acknowledge earnest feedback as it is submitted.

And in order to better preserve the spirit and pure intentions for which this blog was established, I also hereby request that anyone not commenting with a regular user name (particularly those whose comments appear under the "Unknown" or "Anonymous" monikers, give the rest of us a name to work with in addressing any replies. If such individuals do not wish to disclose their actual given names, a pseudonym or nickname would suffice.
