Hello again, everyone! Now that June 30 has become July 1, the first half of 2025 is officially over, which means it's time to provide an overview of temple construction progress during the first half of this year. I will let the following documents speak for themselves, and just add that this one shows where things stood at the beginning of 2025, with this one reflecting where things stood a few days before the April 2025 General Conference, and this one highlighting where temple construction progress stands at the conclusion of the first half of this year.
I hope you all will find these updates enlightening. It is wonderful to have tracked and chronicled that progression thus far, and I look forward to further progress being made during the back half of 2025. Stay tuned here for my coverage of the latest updates from the Church News, Newsroom, and Church of Jesus Christ Temples sites. I’ll be sure to pass word of those along to you all as soon as I learn about them. In the meantime, that does it for now.

There was no other major temple construction announcement yesterday or today. My thanks to you all who read the post I put up to cover that announcement if it happened. While July marks the typical recess month for General Authorities, with no major news announced during that month, given that we've got four temples that are completed and awaiting the announcement of their opening arrangements, and a number of temples that are close to a groundbreaking, I'm hopeful we might herar at least some major temple construction news at some point this month. My thanks once again to you all.
ReplyDeleteWhile no major temple construction announcement was made Tuesday, the Church News did share a few new reports: An anniversary gathering was held to remember the martyrdom of Joseph Smith the Prophet and his brother, Hyrum Smith, the Patriarch and Assistant President of the Church. A "Strengthening Families Conference" was held in Sierra Leone. Ohio youth visited 3 temples in one day for a stake youth conference (Kirtland, Columbus, and the site of the forthcoming Cincinnatti temple). And the latest edition of the Church News podcast featured teachings from Apostles' and General Officers of the Church at the recently concluded Seminar for New Mission Leadership.
DeleteMeanwhile, a new update on the Lindon Utah Temple not only indicates that, as the with Burley Idaho, Alabang Philippines, and Harare Zimbabwe Temples, major construction has been completed and finishing touches are being applied, but further indicates that the interior is being furnished. Since that has not been noted ifor the other three temples I mentioned, it does seem feasible that the Church could set a dedication for the Lindon Utah Temple while finishing touches continue for the other three temples. But time will tell on that. Insofar as I have been able to ascertain, that is the only new temple construction update reported since I posted the last such updates. My thanks once again to you all.
On this Wednesday, the Church News and the Newsroom have each shared one new update apiece. My thanks once again to you all.
DeleteThe Church News has shared two additional reports. My thanks once again to you all.
