Filming Begins for Book of Mormon Movies

Hello, all! Though this is news from several days ago, I have not focused a blog post on it. But I did want to note that the Church has begun the process of filming for their Book of Mormon movies series that they have been planning for a while. I at one point had submitted an acting profile to the Church (back when I originally started growing out my facial hair), and I still get e-mails from the Church's audiovisual department about upcoming opportunities, but between the two jobs I had and my health having nosedived somewhat, I have not had the wellness or time to accept such opportunities. Perhaps someday. For those wanting more information on this latest series of videos, click here. In the meantime, I am hard at work on updating my thoughts and estimates for future temple-related events. More to come on that in a few days. In between now and then, other posts will follow. Thanks for your time, and please let me know your thoughts, if you are able to do so. If not, I will continue to fix the problem. I can, as always, be reached through my contact information on my blogger profile. Thanks again.

Unit Change Update

While July marks the month when the General Authorities observe their annual recess, and while not many unit changes happen, I wanted to note that one new district has been created in South Africa, while one stake has been renamed in Tijuana Mexico, and two other stakes in Santa Cruz Bolivia were renamed as well (primarily as a result of the new stake that was created in Santa Cruz on the last Sunday in June). There have also been several creations of other wards and branches. To view the latest changes, click here. It is also certain that analysis of latest Church growth developments will continue to follow on the LDS Church Growth Blog, which can be found here. Enjoy! Any comments are welcome, if you are able to leave them. If not, please let me know via my contact information in my Blogger profile. Thanks.

Scheduling Conflict Forces Change in Guest for the Tabernacle Choir's Pioneer Day Concert

While it was originally announced that musician and recording artist Christopher Jackson would be the guest of the Tabernacle Choir for their annual Pioneer Day Concert, a scheduling conflict will prevent Jackson's participation. In a move that (in my opinion) more than compensates for this loss, the Choir reached out to former Choir member and current well-known LDS singer Alex Boye, who instantly agreed to participate.
